The Spring Up Readers are meant to introduce the culture of reading and to develop children’s vocabulary. They focus on the development of the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. They are fun-filled reading stories that take children through the day-to-day life and adventures of The Moyo Family.
The readers have colorful illustrations which arouse and captivate the children, therefore developing their engagement skills. The stories and illustrations relate to, and are relevant to the child ‘s own environment and everyday experiences. The series has also been developed to introduce values that form the basis of Ubuntu/Unhu in the children. The readers can be read aloud to children or they can also be guided to read the books themselves.
